Lunch Break began singing together during the summer of 2007 just for fun during their lunch break hour, and haven't stopped since. Combining humor, youthful energy, and good old fashioned barbershop harmony, Lunch Break brings a unique brand of entertainment to audiences of all ages. Lunch Break's repertoire includes barbershop, jazz, gospel, and folk-hip-hop-fusion.

Lunch Break is fortunate to have won the Barbershop Harmony Society's 2007 Dixie District Championship, and finished as the 12th place semifinalist at the International Barbershop Convention in 2009.

"Messy. Messy. Messy. Messy. Messy."

Many thanks to Greg Hollander and the mighty Caveman Chorus for hosting Lunch Break this past weekend. Their Bing Crosby themed show was a big success, with the chorus and three chapter quartets providing high quality entertainment. You guys are the best! You brought us bacon.

Lunch Break received valuable feedback. "Messy. Messy. Messy." A scathing report from a singing judge, you think? Or perhaps the kneejerk reaction from a fellow barbershopper about our show package.

No, actually, it was the glowing review from 7-year old Shelby reeling in the aftermath of yet another Lucky Charms on-stage explosion. What was once The Cereal Explosion Ridiculousness is quickly becoming The Norm, and it makes me (just one member of Lunch Break) a little sad. How does one keep it fresh show after show? Do we include the milk next time, exponentially complicating the lives of the hapless cleanup crew volunteers? Do we walk a live camel across the stage a la The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular?
I give you the image of a man brooding over these morose thoughts.

Peace out.

"I want these guys on the radio!"

The Warren "Conewango Clippers" Chorus celebrated 60 years of harmony at their annual show this year. LB shared the stage with the outstanding Clippers and Serenade, a perrenial district finalist in Seneca Land and 2005 Buckeye Champs. Very cool guys and great singers!

Lunch Break received arguably our finest accolade to date. After completing our show package, a lovely four-year old girl named Carly exuberantly proclaimed to her mother her desire to have us on the radio. Thanks, Carly! (Maybe it was the Temptations background accompaniment track and subsequent freestyle boogiedown that got her jazzed) Now, let's get those singing judges on board and we'll have ourselves a contest this summer.

Thanks, Clippers for a great weekend! Check out pics...

totally ate this at dinner saturday night (minus onions and tomatoes)
